What data does a cleaning company receive from a hotel?
ARPCLEAN is housekeeping software for hotels, and it reads room data from a report that Opera sends on its own. The hotel decides what goes into that report. The printed list lying in the corridor each morning usually carries more.
This flow has been running in a real hotel for months. The number of houses is still small, and we say so.
Less than the paper carries
The printed room list an attendant picks up in the morning usually carries the guest name as well. The work in ARPCLEAN runs on room number, cleaning status, departure and arrival.
The printed list usually carries
- Room number
- Cleaning status
- Arrival and departure
- Guest name
- sometimes VIP marks and special requests
ARPCLEAN runs on
- Room number
- Cleaning status
- Departure
- Arrival
Fields ARPCLEAN does not read
Nationality, identity document data, date of birth, phone number, email address and membership number are not read, even when they sit in the file. They appear in no screen and in no report.
Three levels, and the hotel picks one
The choice happens inside the hotel's own Opera, before anything leaves the building. We receive the file exactly as the hotel produced it.
| What the hotel sends | Guest data inside |
|---|---|
| hk_details.xml | None. Room and cleaning status only |
| Task Sheet, "Show Guest Name" off | No name. Room, status, arrival, departure |
| Task Sheet, name on | The detail the printed list already carries |

We have no access to the PMS
No login, no database connection, no read permission. Opera sends the report to an address on its own schedule.
The path runs one way
The file arrives with us. There is no route back into the hotel system.
No project for IT
Nobody has to open a pipe or expose an interface. The report already exists in the house.
The hotel keeps the switch
Turn the schedule off and nothing arrives any more. That takes no request to us.
The hotel's data protection officer is not asked to open a new data pipe. They are asked to approve a report the house already prints every day.
For a house on paper, this is a gain
The comparison that matters is not ARPCLEAN against a perfect world. It is ARPCLEAN against this morning's printout.
Today
The list goes to the attendant in the morning. In practice it gets photographed and passed around over WhatsApp. From that moment the hotel no longer knows where those names sit. If someone keeps the photo, nobody finds out.
With ARPCLEAN
The hotel can choose that no name is transferred at all, and then there is nothing to photograph. If the house does send names, the attendant sees the same detail as on the sheet, tied to an account.
An account belongs to one person and can be withdrawn. A printout and a private chat cannot be withdrawn.
Where the data sits
Operations and storage sit with Nitro Cloud LTD in Ruse, Bulgaria. The data stays inside the EU.
What data protection officers ask us
Yes. The hotel can configure the report so that it carries no name. With hk_details.xml the file carries no guest data at all, only room and cleaning status.
The cleaning company works for the hotel as a processor, and an agreement between the two should already be in place. What changes is the carrier: a file instead of a printout.
Room number, cleaning status, arrival, departure, number of adults and children, VIP mark and, if the hotel sends it, the guest name. Nationality, identity document data, date of birth, phone number, email and membership number are not read.
In Opera Cloud under Reports → Manage Reports → Task Sheet Report, Report Style Type 8, in the "Include" block as the "Show Guest Name" checkbox. Leave it unticked and the file carries no name.
Yes. The schedule lives in Opera, which means it lives in the house. Deactivate it and nothing arrives with us any more.
